How to Download and Install Adobe Acrobat

These instructions will help you download and use the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the Effective Schools League Tour. You may find it useful to print these instructions so you can refer to them as you download Acrobat. To download and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader
What you do What you see
Go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html
Complete the options in Step 1 (the language, what computer you are using, and where you are)
Complete the information in Step 2 (Your name and e-mail address as well as selecting not to receive e-mail, if you want)
In Step 3, click on Download. You will be asked to select a location to save this file.
Specify an appropriate location and remember it for future reference, then click on Save.
If you are given the option to run the file you just downloaded, do so. If not, use Windows Explorer (in Windows) or the Desktop (for Macintosh) to locate and double-click on the file you downloaded.
Follow the prompts to install Adobe Acrobat Reader. The default options are almost always appropriate.
You should now be ready to read the Acrobat version of the tour. You may need to exit from your web browser and come back to this page.

Some suggestions if you have trouble

If the Tour in Acrobat link appears not to work
It may be that you do not have a new enough version of Adobe Acrobat or there is a problem with your installation. If you are uncertain, or continue to have difficulty, we recommend that you download and install a newer version.

If the pictures appear garbled or strange
If your display is set to a limited number of colors (i.e., less than 256), the screen images will probably not look very good on the screen. However, they should still print appropriately.

You can view and adjust the number of colors for your monitor in the Control Panels (the Display Control Panel in Windows and the Monitors Control Panel on the Macintosh).
